BRC Hat Tagging
RULE CHANGES FOR 2011
Any Members representing the
Club at any BRC Qualifier or Championship will need to get their Hats Checked & Tagged before they are allowed to compete.
BRC will provide facilities for this when you arrive at the Championships (Allow sufficient time before your Class Starts.)
Many Members will be aware of this if they are Members of Pony Club or British Eventing. If your Hat has already been tagged
by one of these organisations this constitutes that your Hat meets the required standards. If Members follow our Link to BRC
the 'OFFICIAL RULES 2011' are on line and the specific section is on Page 18 - also listed are the GENERAL RULES that
should be followed and of which Members should be fully aware when competing at Qualifiers & Championships.
FLU VACS:
Members should ensure that their Horses/Ponies VACS
are up to date and in accordance with BRC Competition Requirements. For those Members representing the Club at Hartpury please
confirm your Vac status to your Team Captains. BRC have a Check Table on Page 140 in the Official Rules, there is also information
on our Website.
MEMBERSHIP CARD:
When representing the Club at Qualifiers you will now be asked to produce your Membership Card in addition to your Horse/Ponies
Flu Vacc. Certificate It mat be an idea to keep this card in the cover of your Passport. If you compete with more than one
horse/pony one presentation when registering at the secretaries desk will be sufficient.
DRUG TESTING
2011:
BRC have introduced RANDOM testing for 'forbidden substances' at Qualifiers & Championships, for teams
going to Hartpury please be aware that your Horse/Pony may be selected for a RANDOM test. On Page 16 0f the BRC Rule book
Sec. G17 - G17.4 refers to the Rules in Question. Also on Pages 141-143 it shows the procedure that is followed should a Horse/Pony
be tested and found positive. Currently 2 BRC Members have received a 3 month ban, however there is a suggestion that the
Ban will be increased to 2 Years for a confirmed positive test result.
