                General Rules  Please Read Carefully
1.
 It is a condition of entering the show that Nantwich Riding Club and organizers accept no responsibility for any accident that may happen to spectators, competitors, their servants, horse, motors or any vehicle in connection with, or arising from the show or any conduct of the management thereof. 
2. A hard hat, securely fastened must be worn at all times whilst mounted. We strongly recommend a PAS015 or BSEN1384 hard hat but British Standard 4472 or 6473 is permitted.

All stallions and colts must be handled by an adult over 18 years of age and must be adequately bitted and under control. The organizers reserve the right to expel from the field and animal not considered to be under control, or unfit, especially where a danger to the public is concerned.
 
4. 
The organisers reserve the right to cancel, split or combine classes where appropriate, to delay or commence classes when necessary and to refuse an entry without reason.
   
5.  
No class will be delayed unduly whilst competitor is in another ring. 
6.  Horse/ponies in ridden classes must be 4 years old and over. b   
7.
Any objection to be lodged with the secretary in writing, within one hour of the alleged incident, together with a £25 deposit which will be returned if the objection is withheld.   
8.  The decision of the organisers and judges are final. Direct approach to judges is strictly forbidden and will incur disqualification. 
9.  Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst in the showground
10. Anyone found mistreating an animal will be asked to leave the showground.
By entering the showground competitors and spectators agree to abide by the rules and conditions.

RING ONE. Judge:Mrs F Done           Ridden and lead rein      To commence at 9.30am
Class 1. Beginners Showing ClassOpen to riders/horses that are new to showing. A short show will be required; feedback and tips for the future will be given by the judge.
Class 2. Riding Club PonyOpen to ponies 14.2hh and under, to include a jump.
Class3. Show Hunter PonyOpen to ponies 15hh and under.
Class 4. Show PonyOpen to ponies under 14.2hh
Class 5. Ridden Mountain & Moorland. Small BreedsWelsh Section A & B, Dartmoor, Exmoor & Shetland. Horses/Ponies to be registered withthe relevant breed society and aged 4 years and over. To be shown in their natural state.
Class 6. Ridden Mountain & Moorland. Large BreedsWelsh Sections C & D, Fell, Highland, Connemara & New Forest. Horses/Ponies to be registered with the relevant breed society and aged 4 years and over. To be shown in their natural state.
Class 7.Family horse or pony:
 Horse or pony any age. Suitable for anyone to ride. To be  marked on temperament and willingness.  Rider any age, a small show to be riden
***Championship A***     Open to 1st & 2nd Prizewinners from classes 1 –7 inclusive

RING  TWO

Class 8. Ridden Hunter  Open to horses over 15hh, to be ridden astride.
Class 9. Ridden Cob TypeOpen to horses over 14.2hh, all weights, hogging not required.
Class 10. Riding HorseOpen to horses over 14.2hh
Class11. Riding Club HorseOpen to horses over 14.2hh, to include a jump of 2’6’’ max.
C
lass 12. Ridden Veteran Open to horses/ponies of any height to be 15 years old and over.
 
Class 13. Ridden Coloured, Spotted and PalominoOpen to horses/ponies of any height.
Class 14. Young Horse ClassOpen to horses aged 6 years and under, not to have won a ridden showing

         Open to 1st & 2nd Prizewinners from classes 8 – 14 inclusive.

Class 15. Mountain and Moorland. Small breedsOpen to Welsh A & B, Dartmoor, Exmoor, & Shetland. M&M ponies must be registered with the appropriate breed’s society. Stallions must be appropriately bitted and handled.
Class 16. Mountain and Moorland. Large BreedsOpen to Welsh Section C & D, Fell, Dales, Highlands, New Forest & Connemara. M&M ponies must be registered with the appropriate breed’s society. Stallions must be appropriately bitted and handled.
Class 17. VeteranHorse or pony aged 15 years and over.Class 18. Coloured & Spotted and PalominoOpen to horses and Ponies.   
Class 19. Young Handler
    Open to Children aged under 16 years, hard hats MUST be worn. .If sufficient entries class may be split to under  12-year olds and 12 /16 year olds.   
Class 20. Open In-Hand

NOVELTY CLASSES
To Continue in Ring Two after the In-Hand not before 1.30pm Lead Rein or Free Ridden
Class 21. Very Very beginners showing class , no need to canter.
Class 22. Bonny Pony
Class 23. Little Star Pony. You need to know about your pony and what it can do, age etc.

Class 24. Fancy Dress:           Prizes  for  !st to 3rd in each class.          

Jumping Classes   RING THREE  To Commence at 11am 
Juniors are classed as 18 and under on Jan 1st 2010. All classes will be split into Juniors and Seniors. 

Class A. . Beginners. Jumps 2.0’ to 2.3’

      Class B.   Novice. Jumps 2’6’’  Class C.   Intermediate. Jumps 2’9’’  
      Class D.  Open. Jumps  3’0’’ to  3’3’’.

Class 27. Open WHP         Open to ponies 15.0hh and under.         Fences no more than 2 ‘6’’        
Class 28. Novice Working Hunter
   Open to horses over 15.0hh. Not to have won a 1st prize in any WH competition or to have competed at county level..Fences no more than 2’6’’       
Class 29. Open Working Hunter
        Open to horses over 15.0hh.Fences no more than 3’0’’

      Open to 1st and 2nd Prizewinners from classes 25 to 29
